Terms of Service

1. Relationship with App Stores

This Agreement is between you and Eavesdrop only, not with Apple, Google, or any other app store provider. Eavesdrop is solely responsible for the Eavesdrop Stories app and its content.

Your use of the app must comply with the usage rules and terms of service of the app store or platform from which you downloaded it (for example, the Apple App Store or Google Play). Neither Apple nor Google are responsible for providing maintenance, support, or updates for the app.

2. Limited License

By installing or using the Eavesdrop Stories app, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app solely for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. This license allows you to use the app on compatible devices that you own or control, as permitted by your platform's terms and conditions (including family or shared access if available).

• You do not own the app or its content — you are only licensed to use it.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the app.
• All rights not expressly granted remain with Eavesdrop.

4. What Eavesdrop Is

Eavesdrop Stories offers immersive, fictional audio stories for adults (18+). You can listen to free previews, purchase individual stories, or subscribe for full access. All content in the app is created and owned by Eavesdrop.

5. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be 18 years or older to use Eavesdrop. You may create an account using Firebase authentication to save your purchases and preferences. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or behave inappropriately.

6. Community & Conduct

Eavesdrop is a space for safe, respectful listening and interaction. When using the app, you agree to:

• Respect others — no harassment, hate speech, or inappropriate comments.
• Use the app only for lawful, personal purposes.
• Avoid sharing, copying, or distributing any content from the app.

We may remove comments or block users who violate these principles.

7. Fiction and Responsibility

Most of our stories are fictional. If a story is based on real events, that will be clearly indicated. Eavesdrop is not intended as therapy, advice, or education — it's entertainment. You are responsible for how you engage with the content.

8. Purchases and Subscriptions

You can purchase individual stories or subscribe for full access (monthly or yearly). All payments are handled securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform.

Because our content is digital and instantly accessible, all sales are final — no refunds are provided once a purchase is made.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your app store account settings before renewal.

9. Maintenance and Support

Eavesdrop is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app. Neither Apple, Google, nor any other platform provider has any obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the app.

10. Warranty

Eavesdrop is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed.

If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may contact Apple or Google (as applicable), and they may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app store providers have no other warranty obligations, and any other claims or damages are Eavesdrop's sole responsibility.

11. Product Claims

Eavesdrop, not any app store provider, is responsible for addressing any claims from you or third parties relating to the app or your use of it, including:

• Product liability claims,
• Legal or regulatory compliance issues, and
• Consumer protection or privacy-related claims.

12. Intellectual Property Rights

If any third party claims that the Eavesdrop Stories app or your use of it infringes intellectual property rights, Eavesdrop (not the app stores) will be solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or resolving such claims.

All content in the Eavesdrop app — including audio, text, artwork, and brand design — is owned or licensed by us. You may not copy, record, share, or distribute any part of the content without explicit permission.

13. Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that:

• You are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country; and
• You are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

14. Third-Party Terms of Agreement

When using the app, you must also comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement, such as your mobile network, data provider, or platform's usage rules.

15. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please read our full Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and protect your information.

16. Changes to the App and Terms

We may update our app and these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you in the app or via email. Your continued use after such updates means you accept the new Terms.

17. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Eavesdrop provides the Service "as is" and "as available." We make no guarantees that the app will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the app or reliance on its content.

18. Termination

You may stop using Eavesdrop at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• you violate these Terms,
• you misuse the app,
• or if required by law.

Upon termination, access to purchased or subscribed content may be revoked according to the policies of your app store provider.

19. Third-Party Beneficiary

You acknowledge and agree that Apple, Google, and their subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, each of them will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
