You're ready to dive in!

Eavesdrop is on the hunt for passionate writers, editors, voice actors, and other creatives. Here's what to expect as a creator:

Write

  • Dutch or English
  • 1000-2500 words
  • Usually 1-3 editing rounds
  • Consent is key
  • Write under a pen name or your own name
  • Eavesdrop acquires exclusive exploitation rights
  • Writer retains copyright

Voice act

  • Dutch or English
  • Record at our DIY home-studio in Groningen (feel free to bring a friend)
  • Alternatively: if you have access to your own sound-proofed studio and mic, record on your own
  • Self-recorded stories often require some revisions
  • Eavesdrop acquires exclusive exploitation rights
  • Voice actor retains copyright

Edit

  • Dutch or English
  • Edit stories
  • Prepare and tag scripts
  • Write blurbs
  • Ranges from simple copy editing to more developmental edits
  • In the case of extensive developmental editing you may request being featured as co-author (under a pen name or your own name)

Anything! Eavesdrop is currently a grassroots passion project, built with love by a small team of contributors, so we're open to your concepts and thoughts!

This also means we don't have external funding or investors (yet. Call us 😘💸). Because of this, we're not able to offer financial compensation as of now, but our creators get full credit and creative input. We deeply value every contribution and aim to grow into a platform that shares its success with its creators. We're happy to answer any questions about plans for future compensation.
